New Sangoma Gateway Cards Provide Superior Building Blocks for Communication Platforms

TORONTO, ONTARIO–(Marketwire – September 27, 2008) – Sangoma® Technologies Corporation (TSXV: STC), the premium provider of software-centric media and signal processing hardware, today announced its newest product line, NetBorder Express VoIP Gateway Cards.

Sangoma’s award-winning telephony cards together with this new set of software building blocks deliver a robust SIP to TDM VoIP Gateway solution. Integrators and developers can use NetBorder Express on their communications platforms for SIP-based applications such as iPBX, IVRs, and Conferencing Servers.

The NetBorder Express solution is unique as the gateway card can reside in the same server as the developer’s application. Also, the installer, configuration, and management interfaces can easily be integrated to deliver a single, tightly-coupled solution, as opposed to two or more solutions “glued” together.

“When developers need to incorporate VoIP gateway functionality on their next generation platforms, they are faced with two choices: to buy an off-the-shelf gateway, which works well but will not provide a tight level of application integration, or to develop their own, which will be very costly in R&D and remove focus from application development,” said Frederic Dickey, Director of Product Management for the NetBorder product line. “Sangoma’s NetBorder Express Gateway Cards provide customers the best of both worlds — a ready to use gateway, which also easily integrates with the customers? applications.”

“We didn?t need to go to any other vendors for sales, support, or integration,” said Michael Fried, owner of Friedom-Tech. “We used pbxnsip together with a Sangoma NetBorder Express Gateway Card, and I was extremely impressed with the level of functionality and support at a very attractive price point for our customers.”

NetBorder Express Gateway Cards include Telco-grade, hardware echo cancellation. Customers can purchase up to eight spans on a single board and can put multiple boards in a server.

NetBorder Express 1.6 is available now for Windows with T1/E1 interfaces. Analog and BRI interfaces are planned, as is a Linux version of the software.

If you already own a Sangoma T1/E1 card with hardware echo cancellation, you can download a trial version of the software from the Sangoma web site at: www.sangoma.com/nbe_trial/.

Company gains foothold in Windows Unified Communications and IP Contact Center Markets

TORONTO, ONTARIO–(Marketwire – July 7, 2008) – Sangoma® Technologies Corporation (TSXV: STC), the premium provider of PC-based hardware and software for proprietary and open source networking and telephony solutions, today announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire all of the shares of Paraxip Technologies Inc. for $4.8 million, payable as to $1.9 million in cash and 2.3 million Sangoma common shares. Paraxip is a leading developer of IP connectivity software that empowers the deployment of IP Telephony applications. Founded in 2003, Paraxip’s customers include IBM, Genesys (a subsidiary of Alcatel-Lucent), First Data Corporation and the State of California.

The integration of Paraxip’s SIP based NetBorder™ suite into Sangoma’s product line provides Sangoma with a growth path that includes the Unified Communications market, IP contact centers, commercial interactive voice response solutions and other SIP-based telephony markets. The combined products and channels of the two companies considerably extend Sangoma’s current addressable market range by providing support for all software-based telephony applications.

“This acquisition is part of Sangoma’s strategy for addressing the expanding market for telephony applications of all types, particularly the segment of the market that demands proprietary, well supported solutions,” said David Mandelstam, President and CEO of Sangoma Technologies. “The Paraxip transaction not only bolsters Sangoma’s Windows-based offerings, but also represents a major advancement for the Open Source community. By combining Paraxip’s gateway products with our premium hardware and drivers, we will provide the Open Source telephony community with a new level of compliance, reliability and scalability.”

“The acquisition is a natural fit that opens up a sizeable Open Source market for Paraxip’s gateway products and lets us leverage Sangoma’s worldwide channel of distributors,” said Serge Forest, Paraxip’s President and CEO. “The deal provides Sangoma, in return, with highly differentiated connectivity solutions, including our patent-pending Call Progress Analysis technology, for servicing the fast-growing Contact Center market, as well as access to that market through Paraxip partners. We believe this to be a very synergistic combination.”

In addition to at least four other nominees designated by the current Board of Sangoma, Paraxip shareholders will be entitled to nominate two individuals to the Sangoma Board at Sangoma’s next annual shareholders meeting. The transaction is expected to close on or about July 14, 2008.

Sangoma Raises the Bar Again for VoIP Hardware Manufacturers

TORONTO, ONTARIO–(Market wire – March 18, 2008) – Sangoma® Technologies Corporation (TSX VENTURE:STC), the premium provider of PC-based telephony hardware and software products for proprietary and open source networking and telephony solutions, today announced a lifetime warranty on their award-winning Advanced Flexible Telecommunications (AFT) product line. Sangoma led the industry years ago with its five year warranty, at that time, the most aggressive in the industry. Now, Sangoma has raised the bar again by upgrading to a level never before seen in the telecommunications industry. The program includes a no questions asked 30-day money back guarantee, Sangoma’s renowned free technical support, and free replacement in the unlikely event of a defect.

“We want our customers to understand that our products have a level of quality that others simply cannot duplicate,” said Doug Vilim, VP of Sales at Sangoma. “We are not going out on a limb in making this offer, because our cards just work. We believe that Sangoma is the only company to date that could make this offer without overwhelming their support group.”Sangoma’s AFT product line provides the foundation for voice, data and video applications including legacy PBX, IVR, auto attendant, next generation gateways, media servers and application servers. Sangoma enables the PC to deliver superior auditory quality when communicating with public telephone networks. Sangoma technology works with proprietary technology and a variety of open source software, including: Asterisk®, FreeSwitchTM, CallWeaverTM, and YateTM.

“At Sangoma, we continue to guide the proprietary and open source telephony card manufacturers into providing a higher level of quality and service,” said David Mandelstam, Sangoma’s CEO. “We believe this move will send a message to potential customers, users and partners, that when it comes to reliability, we will not be outdone.”

The original registrant of any AFT product shipped after March 17, 2008, is eligible for Sangoma’s lifetime warranty. Sangoma will be exhibiting at Spring VON, March 17th – 20th, booth 1219.

TORONTO – April 26, 2007 — Sangoma Technologies Corporation (TSXV: STC) (http://www.sangoma.com/ ), a leading provider of connectivity hardware and software products for Asterisk® based solutions including VoIP, TDM voice, WANs and Internet infrastructure, is now bundling a free six-port license for Octasic’s SoftEcho solution with Sangoma’s standard A200 and A400 analog cards.

The combination of Sangoma cards and SoftEcho provides carrier-class voice quality for six analog ports without overloading any modern PC. Easy to install, SoftEcho provides peace of mind by addressing all potential echo issues.
“Although we have provided hardware echo cancellation for analog systems of all sizes for some time, the cost was rather expensive and often out of reach for those deploying smaller systems,” says Sangoma Technologies president and CEO David Mandelstam. “Our agreement with Octasic allows us to deliver a robust solution providing the industry’s best voice quality on systems of up to six ports at no additional cost. Above six ports the balance of cost and system load begins to favor our traditional hardware echo cancellation solutions.”

“Sangoma delivers high quality products to the Asterisk market,” says Fabio Gambacorta, Octasic’s vice president of sales and marketing. “Our hardware echo cancellation solutions have enhanced the voice quality on their cards for the high-density market. We are delighted to collaborate to meet the needs of enterprises with low-density applications, by offering our software solution pre-integrated on Sangoma’s cards.”

Sangoma continues to bring innovation, scalability and higher density solutions to market at the request of its enterprise and telco customers.
